Walt is a multidisciplinary designer in Boise, Idaho who works at the intersection of western tradition and contemporary craft.
He is an alumni of the Teton Artlab Residency program in Jackson, WY and the Alexa Rose Foundation Show & Tell Residency in Garden City, ID. He is a member of the Firearms Engravers Guild of America and has had leather work featured in the World Leather Debut in Sheridan, WY and the Western Idaho State Fair.
His work is inspired by the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, a place he has called home for the last 15 years, and explores contemporary western issues through the lens of American traditional craft, specifically in leather, silversmithing and hand engraving.
